Enrolment Process

We welcome the opportunity to present you with information about Tarawera High School, the educational opportunities and pastoral care networks that will continue to support our students. In our first two years we have made significant progress in meeting the academic and pastoral needs of our students.

The enrolment process starts in September and includes an opportunity for your child to visit the High School, a parents’ information evening with the opportunity for caregivers to ask questions, look at the junior area of the High School and meet the Senior Management Team and current Junior Classroom Teachers.

Parents / caregivers are then requested to make an appointment to see a member of the High school enrolment team either in your child’s own school (if local within Kawerau), or at Tarawera High School if you are new to the area.

A copy of your son’s / daughter’s birth certificate or passport is required at this interview or we can copy the certificate for you.
